The main thesis of the article is explaining how the interpretation of negative images declines with age but with the interpretation of positive images, patients report it to be the same over aging. The authors did do a good job of supporting their thesis, especially with having many different sources to include in their article. I also would agree with the authors’ thesis, as I do have a personal experience with this; my parents are both in their elderly years and as I’ve grown up with them, they seem to focus less on the negative and more on the positive.
